My Story
I am an adept analyst of municipal economic development, truly enjoying getting my hands dirty working with data from both governance and research perspectives. I have significant experience working with a wide variety of economics and community-level data from both qualitative and quantitative sources. I pride myself in being able to summarize complex data in an easy-to-read, digestible way that allows for readers to see the value, trends, and characteristics in otherwise convoluted analysis.
I hold both a Master’s degree and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario and have completed Years 1 and 2 of economic development training through the University of Waterloo. I’ve also graduated from Leadership Niagara’s Accelerated Civic Leadership program.
Before joining McSweeney & Associates, I worked for the Mayor and CAO’s office in Niagara Falls, for the Ontario Minister of Northern Development and Mines, and as a research associate for the Niagara Workforce Planning Board (NWPB). I also have experience working as a consultant to Pride Niagara and Ronald McDonald House Charities, as well as serving on the Board of NextNiagara and the Program Advisory Committee for Leadership Niagara. In my spare time, I enjoy playing hockey and golf, and going on hikes with my wife, son and dog, Fenway.
