Early 2017 Successes at McSweeney

The first three months at McSweeney & Associates has seen several projects come to successful completion. The Economic Development Strategy Review and Update for the City of Brantford wrapped up early in the year with unanimous support from Mayor Friel and Council. Other major strategies that were completed were Haldimand County and the City of Cornwall. As well, the Strathcona County Economic Sector Analysis and Diversification Review was completed early in 2017, which identified Strathcona County’s directions for economic diversification.

Several industrial land projects came to fruition including Chestermere (Alberta), Elliot Lake (Ontario), Russell Township (Ontario) and Clarence-Rockland (Ontario). Land development is the current hot economic development topic as noted in our current blog. All in all a great start to a new year in economic development.

"Elliot Lake now has a policy for selling of lands for Economic Development Purposes! Thank you so much for your assistance with that – I am very pleased with the results!"

Ashten Vlahovich, Economic Development Coordinator, City of Elliot Lake
